Getting ready for the Holidays and New Year doesn't have to be stressful!

The season is upon us now and it's a great reason to make and prepare resolutions before the New Year 2025 begins.   Let's get some plans going!   Whether it’s eating right, redesigning a living space or just simply changing things up, here are some tips for making and keeping new resolutions.

  Make a list
Lists are great ways to stay on track. Write down some big things you want to accomplish and some smaller things, too.   Out with the Old to make room for the New (right?) or just simplify your life.   They say, less is more.

Check the list regularly
Don’t forget to check in on your lists and see how you’re doing.   Just because you don’t achieve the big goals right away doesn’t mean you’re not making progress.   If you have a lot of task to knock out, start small.  Once you get momentum you will be surprised at what you will get accomplished.   Get a couple notebooks and start journal.   Very important key is to journal to stay the course.   Who cares if someone else reads it.   What matters is you are keeping yourself in check.

Reward yourself
When you succeed in achieving a goal, be it a big one or a small one, take a moment for yourself.  Enjoy a new tea, or a homemade smoothie but reward yourself with something good.  Maybe try a new eating establishment you have never been to or read a book.  Inspire yourself and remember, all those little things really do make a difference.

 Think positively
Positive thinking is a major factor in success. So instead of mulling over things that didn’t go quite right, remind yourself of things that did.  If you focus on the mountains and giants in life you won't get to enjoy those peaceful valleys.   Imagine being at the foothill of your mountain and realize this, it takes time to get to the top.  So if things in life are piling up and you are overwhelmed, just remember it also took "time" building those piles.  They don't go away over night -unless you are a gladiator.

  Meditate and Pray

Meditation is Medicine for the mind.   Every morning I take time and I look for my inspiration in the Bible.   I find hope, direction, and I am reminded that God has a plan and purpose for me, as he does for everyone who seeks His guidance.   I am first to admit, I really need His help to stay on course.   We all do.   Every day it gets easier so don't procrastinate.  This busy life we live needs His divine interventions and I would rather walk with Jesus than alone and vulnerable.   It's that simple.

So when you speak, let your conversations be seasoned with salt, just not too salty.   By that I mean make it tasteful, and train your mind to stick with your hopes, your faith, your prayers and your meditations.   Don't go backwards in your prayers or meditations.  Always hold the teachings or lessons close and dear to your heart.   It's called REFLECTION.   Speak positively of your prayers and don't self sabotage them.

Not sure where to start?   I will be posting a link starting the New Year in 2025 with daily readings through the year that following along with one of my favorite person's, in the world, Amy Severs International & "Opening the Sealed Book".   You are very welcome to Join us.
